Despite being a smaller space, the powder room is one place where it’s fun to make a statement. Taking the colours and style sensibilities used elsewhere in the home, I’ve created a space that is striking & different, yet still feels like it belongs. The aim was for it to be sleek & modern, while injecting a dark, rich & moody vibe. Black shiplap walls give it a bold & dramatic feel. The white vanity pops to the foreground and its sleek lines are balanced by the round mirror. The fabric wallpaper treatment provides a beautiful contrast to offset the walls and the colours accent the painted ceiling perfectly. Light fixtures feature an inner gold highlight that complements the champagne bronze faucet & accessories.

This project won Silver in the 2022 DDA Canada Decor & Design Competition in the Powder Room Category.
