The goal for designing this family room was to create an inviting comfortable space, one that feels cozy despite the large scale of the room. Since the overall style of the home is modern, I carried that aesthetic through to the large sectional as well as the media wall which anchors the space with high-gloss white & walnut LED backlit panels framing the tv.  I added rustic and industrial looking elements to contrast, add texture, and balance the smooth modern lines. To brighten up the neutral palette, I incorporated a brightly painted feature wall, accent pillows, throws, & artwork pulling colours from the large rug centred in the space which serves to tie everything together.
